In 1965, Bob Crane, who had achieved some earlier success as a television supporting actor, was working as a successful morning radio DJ at KNX Los Angeles. Despite enjoying his work, photography (especially of the female form) and drumming, Crane wanted to be a movie star. So it was with some reluctance that he accepted the title starring role in a new television sitcom called...。43岁的路易斯（阿兰·夏巴 Alain Chabat 饰）依旧单身，母亲和五个姐姐无微不至的关怀令他的心智永远的停留在了“大男孩”的阶段。对于这样的生活，路易斯感到十分满意，没有什么远大的理想，就当然不会有什么太大的烦恼。倒是路易斯身边的六个女人感到了危机，早已厌倦了围着这个“大宝宝”团团转的生活的她们决定采用“催婚”的战术。 亲人们的唠叨让路易斯不胜其烦，自以为聪明的他想出了一个不怎么高明的对策——雇佣一个新娘，安排她在仪式当天逃婚，这样母亲和姐姐就再也不会提结婚这一“路易斯永远的伤痛”了。死党的妹妹艾玛（夏洛特·甘斯布 Charlotte Gainsbourg 饰）成为了扮演新娘的不二人选，正当他们以为计划正顺利进行时，一切事情似乎都发生了错位。。
