云海市民委干部越永强上任第一天，就碰上了从新疆来寻找失散丈夫的维吾尔族妇女阿拉木罕。为了解决丈夫库尔班与西北拉面馆马老板在生意上的纠纷，阿拉木罕和儿女们只好在云海市住下来。为了做好城市民族工作，越永强把阿拉木罕一家当做自己的亲人相交相识，并与民族美食街的邻居们，云南名茶店白族妇女杨水兰、丈夫扎西茨仁汉族朋友王电脑，以及东方民族村演艺公司的佤族演员桑嘎，公司副总经理赫哲族干部乌克定等人一起，经历了建设民族美食一条街、东方民族园二期扩建工程、边疆扶贫等大起大落的波折，在人情悲欢和快乐幽默的日常生活里中，结为谁也离不开谁的一家人。。1947.
